Nominations in the CMC Music Awards are based on airplay on CMC through 2013, and there are 25 nominations in each category, except “New Oz Artist”, and our two new categories, CMC Male Oz Artist of the Year & CMC Female Oz Artist of The Year, each of which has 10 (see the Awards website T &C for specific rules). The voting period runs from January 3 to March 2. On or around March 3, we will announce the Top 5 in each category.
The Awards ceremony takes place on Friday March 14 at Hope Estate during CMC Rocks the Hunter festival. Every fan who votes will have a chance to win a trip to CMC Rocks the Hunter and attend the Awards event. One vote per person, per category, per day is counted in the Awards, but multiple votes each day are valid entries to win the prize.
This year we have 7 categories. Nominations in the “artist” categories are based on total airplay for the artist, and “video” categories are based on specific clips. Our awards change and grow each year, and our main aim is to connect fans and artists. That’s what it’s all about.
